Guilherme Abuchahla

Guilherme Abuchahla in a Brazilian mangrove forest

My research interest lies in the interface between mangroves and land, tracing how the coastal landscape works as an open system. In tandem with this, I help turn the science into practical conservation, restoration, and awareness work.

Profile

Reading the dynamics between land and sea. Over two decades across mangroves, salt flats, and the coastal landscape, from doctoral research at Leibniz-ZMT to blue carbon project development under Verra and Gold Standard. I move between the science of how these systems connect and the practice of keeping them standing.
