Putting mangroves back, and keeping the ones we have.
Alongside my research, I plan and deliver on-the-ground restoration projects. In Palawan, Philippines, I designed a mangrove restoration plan for Puting Buhangin Island. Later, as part of my master’s degree at Uni-Kiel, I focused on hydrological restoration, community planting, and the social surveys critical to coastal resilience in Tamil Nadu, India.
More recently, I have been helping shape mangrove conservation and restoration strategies across the MENA region, integrating field practice with regional policy and stakeholder needs.
